 Heal The Last Stand

They’re music is influenced by 60/70’s west coast Folk/Americana, Echoing the deep sentiments of the Summer of Love, with an ocean of harmony like Crosby, Stills & Nash meets First Aid Kit.

 Heal are –

Joey - Guitars, Vocals / Laura - Guitars, Vocals / Stan - Piano, Vocals / Thom - Guitars, Vocals

Based in Wrexham, UK, since 2007, Heal The Last Stand have been aiming to create music that makes people feel better. Armed with Acoustic Guitars and a Piano, Heal found themselves in the fortuitous position of having four willing singers in the band, this led to the harmony element of their sound quite by accident. Add to that lyrics with an Earthly sentimentality that speak to the Heart and you have a band who project Love through music with great ease.

It was Joey’s dream, a band in the spirit of peace. He brought together a gang of musicians/friends and recorded an EP in the Summer of 2007, by December that year their first gig was booked and the line-up decided, funnily enough it was Joey’s siblings Laura and Stan who stood with him, and their mutual friend Thom.

An Album (What Love Is…) in 2009 and an EP (Peace Is The Word) in 2010, created enough buzz for them to tour Europe and California. Clocking up hundreds of shows in their time together, including festivals like Glastonbury and Secret Garden Party. This led to them head-lining Focus Wales Music Conference and the Small World Stage at Glastonbury in 2015 and they have played at both again in 2016.

Heal's single 'The Gathering' was play-listed on BBC Radio Wales and was BBC Radio Wales ‘Artist of the Week’

In 2013 they set about recording their first album with the full band, releasing their first single from that record to mark Peace Day that year. Because of admin problems at the studio the album became problematic to finish, but the new album, ‘Mighty River’ on ‘Everybody Wants Peace Records’ is set to be released very soon.

Campfire Social

The line-up for their acoustic set at ‘Seeds is –

’Thomas hyndman - guitar, vocals, keys

Christopher Hembrough-Done - guitar, vocals, percussion

Carrie Hyndman - keys, vocals, viola, percussion

Other members include - Andy Lowe-Smith - drums, guitar, vocals and Mark Vernall – bass, vocals

Founded in 2015 and hailing from Llangollen and Chester, Campfire Social are an Alt-Folk/Sunshine-Pop outfit that rose from the ashes of Shy and the Fight’. Their sound is a pop sensibility with an alternative folk leaning. Harmonies are the key with these guys, beautiful melodies carrying heartfelt, well thought out lyrics over fantastic, feel-good pop tunes.

They have an EP out at the moment called ‘A Collection Of Home Recordings’ on the independent record label ‘Drum With Our Hands’ and a full album set for release later in the year

Texas Banjo Massacre

Through their mutual disillusionment with just about everything, except music and all things five stringed and banjo shaped, Dave Steele and Pat Ranscombe set about changing the universe.(This is often referred to as amidlife crisis)

And so, in January 2016 Texas Banjo Massacre was born. The aforementioned musical troubadours teamed up with a posse of wandering souls and began choogling.

Based in the North West’s cultural mecca of Chester they are -

Jordan Curley- vocals

Pat Ranscombe - guitars, vocals, and banjos

Dave Steele - guitars, vocals and banjos

Pete Atwood - bass

Tony O’leary - keyboards

Barbara Grande Gil - drums

They play a blend of edgy, garage country folk rock, with a bit of banjo somewhere. They are already creating a rumble with a clutch of shows in and around Chester with a radio session to boot. Currently writing and recording material for a forthcoming project which is yet to be announced, 2016 is shaping up to be an exciting prospect for these guys.

 The Glendale Family

The Glendales are a collective based in North Wales and Chester who play a brand of 60's folk/psychedelic, blues and pop. They are strongly influenced by good stories like Treasure Island and Alice in Wonderland, poets Ivor Cutlor and John Cooper Clarke and writers Hunter S. Thompson, Ernest Hemmingway and Alexander Trocci. New single 'Acorn' is driven by lucid dreams, 60's psychedelia and a healthy dose of Grace Slick vibes.

‘A true treasure, they filled the room with pure joy’ - Bethan Elfyn BBC Radio Wales and BBC 6 Music.

'A band of great promise with a female vocalist reminiscent of Grace Slick' - Tom Robinson BBC 6 Music.
