We Are Chester is a fabulous online magazine that was started by Angela Ferguson and showcases some of the best events and happenings around Chester and further afield. Angela joined Tori in April of this year to present the monthly edition of the show on Flipside Radio.

Considering it was only the third show, over the past few weeks they have had an array of guests which have included Peaness and Matt Baker (Artistic Director of Theatre in the Quarter).

This week James Wright was in to chat about his latest role as deputy editor for We Are Chester, as well as how he manages his work/life/study balance, which as we all know can be a tricky thing to do! Both Tori and James could agree that writing for We Are Chester has been a brilliant opportunity to showcase their writing skills as well as going along to some fantastic events.

Sam Freeman was in from Theatr Clywd and talked about his varied role as part of the Marketing and Communications team at the theatre – which sounds like a dream job! Theatr Clwyd puts on some fantastic productions, and listeners were able to find out of some of the exciting stuff they have coming up this year including the Sleeping Beauty panto and even an ice rink!

It was also amazing to find out about the production that goes on behind the scenes (literally) at the theatre, it was interesting to find out that the set for Rent (shown at the theatre last year) was created in North Wales and then went on to be used in the West End for the show there!

As always the show included an eclectic mix of tunes including the special ‘2007 Throwback Thursday’ Just Jack’s, Starz In Their Eyes.
